In Memoriam
This year, we lost two valued members of our Board whose dedication and leadership made a lasting impact on our organization and community.
Meagan Bahlke brought passion and a deep belief in our purpose. Her love for history carried through to the HEC as she spent a decade researching the families who helped establish the college and led the abolitionist movement in Lancaster, Indiana. Read more about Meagan’s life.
Roland Newman was a committed member of the HEC. He generously shared his time and insight leading the restoration of the Hoyt House. His guidance and support helped shape our mission and strengthen our work in meaningful ways. Read more about Roland’s life.
